An essay about the excesses of the 1970s that built the preposterous
1980s. The failures of the various movements of the 1960s and the
drug crisis of crack cocaine. A variety of topics relating to the
dawn of the new 1980s, with a focus on the failures of the idealism of

| Washington Abstract
: NIGHTVISION |
|
During
the Presidential Campaign of 2004, PEB spent a night visiting our
Nation's Capitol.
Come along and tour D.C. in the heat of the night through a series of
photographs and short essays.
The obscure functions of street life "Inside of the Beltway" are brought to brilliant photographic clairvoyance by Miss Carrie Ann Sterrett.
Our spontaneous roadtrip brought on glances of bewilderment from a
diverse array of persons: homeless individuals sleeping in front of the
Martin Luther King, Jr. Library seemed annoyed that the flashes of our
cameras had woken them up; when Carrie took a photograph of a parking
garage entrance, it was a mere five minutes later that an officer of
the Secret Service pulled up and very kindly inquired as to what on
earth two well - dressed caucasians were doing at 3 A.M., and
additionally, from his restrained chuckles, he apparently thought us to
be the most insane "white folk" in D.C. at that moment. It was
not our only encounter with Federal officials during the "tour".
NIGHTVISION!
Explore the sides
of D.C. only found after the Sun sets. Eventually (hopefully by
2013) to be converted into a video presentation with narration.

RECREATIONAL DRUGS COMMENTARY

Drug abuse can be
a tragic affair; proper substance use, however, can enhance the
intellectual abilities of a human to amazing levels. A brief
opinion offered as a counterpoint to the anti - drug opinions found in
other areas of our site.

Addresses the Huffing Epidemic |
|
|
Of the many forms of substance abuse, inhalation of concentrated
chemicals is perhaps the most devastating in terms of the amount of
brain damage it is responsible for.
PEB Member Joshua Buckland
offers a plea for sanity when it comes to the concept of "huffing".

| THE TRIO /// A Novel In Progress by Link Furrow |
|
|
Follow the paths of the lives of three best friends: Katherine, Carmen,
and Marianne.
The early 1980's are the setting for various near -
death experiences which one can only hope will change their vapid priorities
in life.
